In session one, you will discover exactly who should and SHOULD NOT apply for 501(c)(3). Contrary to popular belief, every organization DOES NOT need 501(c)(3) and in some cases having one could actually cause harm and prevent you from achieving your goals. This session will clear up these common misunderstandings and empower you with the tools you need to make a good decision about whether or not to obtain your 501(c)(3).

In session two, you will discover when to file your 501c3 application. In most things of life, timing is everything. The same is true when obtaining your 501c3. As a result of this session you will know how to identify the best time for your organization to begin the filing process. Most importantly, you will learn how to avoid the pain, embarrassment and unnecessary expense that comes with filing the 501c3 application at the wrong time.

In Session three, you will learn the best way to complete the 501c3 application to avoid paying professional filling fees. Using the power of the internet, you will be able to eavesdrop as a member of our team completes an actual 501c3 application.  During this session, virtually every question on the application is answered and explained in great detail so you can save time and reduce your learning when completing your own application.

In session four, you will be empowered with the best methods of handling inquires and phone calls from the IRS concerning your application during the 6 – 12 month review period. You will also receive a fund development crash course and detailed action items that you can complete to start receiving funding commitments, in some cases, before you are officially approved by the IRS.

You’ll receive all the nessary documents (including samples) to prepare your own 501(c)(3). The IRS form 1023 is explained and examined page by page, step by step and every question is answered with references to successful applications, sample documents, and complete instruction.  Everything you need is right at your fingertips, making this process as simple and easy as it could possibly be.

You’ll receive sample documents (and coaching) to help you create a partnership and fund your program WITHOUT having your own 501c3. Using what’s called a “Fiscal Sponsorship” you can apply for funding from organizations that require non-profit status. Fiscal Sponsorship is an excellent tool for organizations that need funding for their projects but do not have 501c3 status.
